Decameron Privato

Florence, 1378. The wife of a wealthy wool merchant laments the lack of attention—both romantic and physical—from her husband, who prefers the company of other men over that of his spouse, married only to consolidate his wealth and lessen the negative opinions others had of him. The Wife, still young and beautiful, is tired of feeling continually alone and abandoned and thus begins to find and seduce lovers from the window of her palace. Both fulfill their desires in the shadow of deceit. Complications arise when the two spouses fall in love with the same young man, a foreman involved in the renovation of the facade of the building next door.
